Memphis v. Marshall

For those that haven't paid attention to the Tigers since our game in January, they're playing some really good ball right now. Adonis Thomas is back from ankle surgery, and the team is playing great D heading into this game. Hoping to sew up a 6/7 seed with the win.

Marshall has clawed back into the at-large discussion with a triple OT win over Tulsa, then a solid w over USM, who is probably the second at large team in C-USA right now. Probably won't get at at-large without a win today though, which would give them the AQ anyways.

Game is super early, cause C-USA is lame, but it's championship basketball for those interested. Tune in.

True.

Well, if they win then that make Memphis take an at-large spot, so bubbles want memphis to win and not let marshall still the spot.

That's right, good point.

I expect Memphis to play with their hair on fire though.
We're at that weird spot right now between a 6/7 seed with a win, or an 8/9 with a loss. We definitely do not want the 8/9 and draw of Kentucky or another juggernaut 1 seed in he second round.

#1s don't want Memphis in the second round either. Athletic enough to play with anyone....disciplined enough is the issue.

Yep, but honestly, all the one seeds this season will be killers. The difference between the ones and some of the twos is huge. Even moreso between 1s and 3s.

an 8/9 means a possible draw of Kentucky in the second round. Do not want.

This feels strange, but I'd much rather see Memphis win. Doesn't mean anything to us now, but it keeps the field from wasting a spot on a crap squad like Marshall and I dislike Tom Herrion.

Marshall is suspect. Beat a few solid teams, but they would be a wasted at-large spot, just like UAB last season. No chance at winning a first round game.

Memphis could be dangerous in the tourney. The way they're playing right now could get them farther than just the 1st round.

Black gonna be ok, forearm not broken. Memphis rolling, looks like an And1 mixtape out there (in a good way).

Syracuse and Kansas lost in their tournaments. Kentucky is leading floriduh by one at halftime. Anything can happen.

I'm sure you guys do but the point is floriduh isn't very good and y'all shouldn't have been down by 10 in the first place.

They're top 20 ranked and if you don't defend the three against them...you lose.
