What I take from this is someone is leaving. I could see Taylor and stark both transfer or atleast one of them.

Two catchers out of the portal. I think one hits left and the other hits right. Wow.
This Bargo kid is versatile. Can also play 1B/3B/LF/RF. I think they’re gonna be good in the OF but this guy could be the backup at 1B/3B and probably C too is Stone Lawless needs a year (frankly, Lawless might beat him out at C though)

This is the thread for Missouri transfer catcher Dalton Bargo.

Great pickup for sure. But who was expecting this one? While we all wait and see what Holman is going to do, Vitello springs this out of the blue. How many transfers does the Vols take in this one class?

To my untrained eye, it appears he's the backup plan for Galanie....which I consider as good as gone unless MLB tries to lowball him.

With the way college sports is now, I believe you have to keep 5-6 spots open every class for portal guys while you bring in 15-20 high school kids. All the portal has done to recruiting is making coaches be more selective when it comes to high school kids. If your a team like Tennessee and believe you are just a couple pieces away from winning it all, then you hit portal hard. But if you’re a team that needs to be totally revamped then you go the high school route and develop. Every program is different in what the needs are for that particular year.
