Sophomore defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott has entered the transfer portal after two years at Arizona State.

It's a particularly significant development for the Sun Devils after junior defensive lineman Jermayne Lole told Sun Devil Source earlier on Friday that he would also enter the transfer portal. Lole and Norman-Lott are the team's top two players at the 3-technique tackle position.

If Lole and Norman-Lott depart, the Sun Devils could be down to sophomore walk-on BJ Green and senior walk-on B'Admad Miller as their top two players at the position, based on spring practices. Junior college transfer Jalil Rivera-Harvey out of East Los Angeles College is another option as a summer arrival.

A former four-star prospect, Norman-Lott was quite productive as a rotational defensive lineman in 2021, racking up 30 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks.
A clear standout during preseason camp, it seemed Norman-Lott might contend for a starting spot at 3-technique defensive tackle with Lole out for the season, but that designation instead went to senior Shannon Forman.

Would be the highest graded pass rusher on this team per PFF. Although his run game grades are poor (hopefully something another year in the weight room can improve).

HUGE if we can land him. 4-star pedigree, has played major college football already so should be a contender for at least rotational snaps. But has 3 years of eligibility at a developmental position.

Considering how few DL we've signed over the past few years, if we were able to land him to go with Terry last year, that would be a great way to utilize the portal by supplementing a specific position.
