Wow. I did not see this coming. Lincoln is not a powerhouse in the San Diego area. BUT they have produced some exceptional talent.

I've actually seen this kid play against a great program in north San Diego by the name of Cathedral Catholic who has won their fair share of Championships and have had many former NFL players sons come through the program.

Catholic coaches said this is one of the most dangerous players went against all year!

I come down from LA area to see them play sometimes.
This is crazy that UT offers him!
He's very good. And I'm excited Tee found out about him!!

I only watched him once in person this year, and he was by far the best player on the field.
I watched Mater Dei and St John Bosco both play this year. Top two teams in America and proved so. Power 5 talent everywhere.

Kid looked like he belonged with those athletes. I'm not sure why this he is so under recruited. Actually happens to a lot of SD kids...

Which is funny, because 3 Heisman Winners come from that City

Keyshawn Smith’s recruitment turned upside down on Monday. “I wasn’t expecting it at all,” the San Diego, CA. native said. “I was shocked when he came in an offered me.” Tennessee receiver coach Tee Martin made the trip to the west coast on Monday with efforts of replenishing his position group that is set to take a major hit. Smith, a three-star, has been offered by 12 schools. Washington State made an in-home visit Tuesday night. “I’ve been texting him for a few days now. He called my coach and asked to speak to me. He said he’d be in town to see me and that he’d have some good news.” When Martin arrived and made the offer, it took Smith by surprise. “I can definitely play in the SEC, but I didn’t think I’d get any offers from there. I was surprised.

“Coach Martin said that I had good mobility and that I would be a good fit in their system. He said it would be good for him to coach me because he could make me better and that I would have a chance to come in and compete early on.” Smith plans to make the long trip east to Tennessee next weekend for a visit. The 6-foot-0, 175-pound athlete has never been to the state but isn’t worried about the distance from home. “I plan on leaving California and travelling, so that isn’t an issue for me. I’ve never been there, but I have been to Florida once when I was eight to play in the youth championships.”

“It doesn’t matter where it is – I just want a school that is going to look after me the right way and put my education first. That’s really it. As long as they look after me and make sure I graduate, I’ll be fine.” Smith visited Washington State and Nevada during the fall and said the two programs are on him constantly. “Teams like my concentration in catching the football and they love my speed. I train with a former Olympian and he clocked me on laser at 4.5 seconds in the 40 this past summer.” The Lincoln High School standout was also used as a return specialist this season where he registered a punt and two kick returns for a touchdown. Smith’s senior numbers finished at over 1,000 yards from scrimmage with around 800 yards receiving. The wideout totaled 14 scores. “UT said they’d like to use me in the return game, too. I’m comfortable with that.”
