Sad... She came here with so much potential and like Cait Mac, injuries were her demise... Good luck in your pursuits Kelly! VFL

I thought next season was going to be the year for the Lady Vols....Cain could have been one of the most dominating players in womens basketball if she wanted it.

Wanting it had little to do with her decision.

I guess Dearstone saying she and Brian Williams had big butts was the final straw.

Hopefully Pat can get more (won't take alot) production from Brewer, and Baugh next year in the post. Cain was very disappointing.

Dang it! I was hoping that "Cain" was a typo and it was supposed to be "Cameron Tatum".

Disagree. She just wasn't any good, and this team will MAJORLY benefit by her graduating. I have never dogged out a student athlete in orange, and I will bit my tongue on this one.

Everyone knows my stance on women's basketball, but I hate to see anyone lose a career basically because of injuries.

The Lady Vols need a healthy Baugh. She has been dogged by knee injuries and is still trying to get back on track.

She showed signs last year of goodness. I think between her, and Brewer the 5 will be majorly upgraded.

I thought Cain was graduating, not ending her career to injury. I wasn't trying to be insensitive, and if I came across that way I apologize to VN.

Cain was a force when healthy. Blocked many a shot. Really hate to see her career end this way. But, she understands that she needs to do what is best for her health. Good luck, Kelley.

Considering the injuries and pain she played through, Kelly Cain was a major player. When others would feed her the ball, many times she just smoothly turned and laid the ball in the basket. And she was a very effective blocker and rebounder, thanks to her height and skill. She made a difference when she was in the game. I admire her grit for playing as much as she did with knee, hip, and back pain. She will definitely be missed. Kelly, thank you for all you contributed and best of luck in the future. You will always be a Lady Vol!!!
