Watched a little of the replay last night Cal vs BYU bowl game. That running back Lynch for Cal is a baller. It has me concerned. Can we stop him? What impressed me the most were his yards after contact? Rarely did the fist person bring him down.

Watched a little of the replay last night Cal vs BYU bowl game. That running back Lynch for Cal is a baller. It has me concerned. Can we stop him? What impressed me the most were his yards after contact? Rarely did the fist person bring him down.

Cal (8-4) won 35-28..... BYU (6-6), finished last season ranked 91st in the NCAA in total defense and 83rd in scoring defense. San Diego State beat BYU last season 31-10.

To contrast, the Vols finished 7th in the NCAA in total defense and 16th in scoring defense.

Regarding Cal's rushing performance, they were 9th in rushing offense, but 90th in passing offense.

The stats are fine, but when you watch Lynch, you know. That passing stat does happen to tell most of the story from 2005, but then again, you know we're dealing with Jeff Tedford here. It doesn't last.

I was just so impressed with him running the ball. I have nightmares of our defense being on the field the entire game. I wish we still had Mahelona.
