I guess it is as close as she can get to "the devil made me do it"....cowboy up and take responsibility for your actions....

On the surface this seems kind of borderline to me, it does however illustrate rather well an all too common problem in politics these days. A woman who serves on a specific committee is able to use her influence to bring money to a particular segment that just happens to include an entity her husband is heavily involved in.

Perhaps she did more than she is letting on here, the fact that she is a politician and her lips are moving makes it absolute certainty that she's either holding back details or outright lying.
