Is anyone starting to get tired of all the respect for Cal. Last week on ESPN.com they were mentioned in the top 3 games to watch this past week and we weren't. I read an article about how much they've turned it around and would most likely beat us if we played again. Now they're almost in the top 10( 11th in one poll, haven't seen the other yet). I guess I'm just a little irritated and maybe not as up to speed on this as I should be. Maybe we're getting more respect than I realize. But to me what has Cal done since we blew them out. They've scored at least 40 points in every game since but against who? And before anyone says Oregon the only team in the Pac-10 that ever impresses me is USC. Maybe I'm just paranoid but I feel like they're media darlings this year. We have one loss by one point to the #2 team in the country but I could see Cal passing us in the polls with a few more good showings. I'm biased in this but after the beat down we laid on them I have a hard time believing they're for real.

I just look at it as it makes us look that much better. If they think they want some more of us, they are kidding themselves.

I hope the media keeps praising Cal and Cal keeps winning. Give us those quality win points!

I don't get why anybody would be upset with Cal getting respect after we tore them a new one in the opener. I want the teams that we beat to get as much respect as possible.

If Tennessee wins out and Cal wins out, Tennessee will be the higher ranked team. Having said that, I wish Cal nothing but good luck. Not only does it make the Vols look better, they have some of the nicest fans around.

And one more thing . . . if you are in the stadium after a victory, please use a little logic and don't start that completely inane "OVERRATED!" cheer. It makes no sense to beat the daylights out of someone and then minimize your own performance by saying the other team wasn't that good. :dunno:

When you are tired of doing the wave on offense, start shouting "Overrated!"

Cal looks great because they play in the PAC-10. All the arguments about a re-play of the game are hooey. They had just as much time to prepare for game 1 as we did.

For all the Lee Corsos stroking off Cal, there are plenty of Tony Barnharts pointing out that Tennessee loss.

If we handle our business, I am sure we will be fine.

If they manage to beat USC, we might have a problem. We can resolve that in Berkeley next September.

My comments are more about the media than Cal. I know it may seem like I was attacking Cal but I do think they are a good team that would most likely play us a lot closer if we played again. I'm just saying we deserve more respect than them based on our scheduele, how we're playing, and the fact that we dismantled them 5 weeks ago
