WHy the smile INT? You happy a human being was injured for the purpose of your entertainment?

You might need to leave here and get back to your FLY WING collection.

A gator fan at my work jumped my chops for this hit. He swore up and down it was a dirty spear tackle. And did it on purpose. He said it was clearly a helmet hit. I disagree. But I may be wrong. I was very, very, very drunk. What is everyone's take.

Looks to me like the Vol that made the hit (Turner I think) was blocked low, his legs came out from under him and his shoulder pads hit Caldwell squarely on his thigh. I knew it was bad when I first seen it.

Injuries are just part of the game....There's nothing wrong with being happy that a rival took a hit on their depth chart. As long as it's not life threatening then no one should be offended.

I thought it was his shoulder pad that hit. But this UF guy says it was helmet to leg, no questions asked.

And of course, he will object and say the opinion of other Vols don't matter, so lawgator, if you are around the board, what do you think?

Any1 who has played defense knows that on any given tackle it could look suspicious. Best tackles I ever made(viscious hits)honestly were because I was too slow to take the fake. I honestly never wanted to hurt any1 seriously but emotions and effort do at times make it look different than it actually was. I'm sure even NFL players whove been fined would agree with this.

It looked to me like his shoulder pad. Either way, he hit Caldwell at a fulled head of steam.

It was Karl, They(kick off ST) were told at half to go out and HIT someone and set a tempo.

Karl was also diving to avoid a block and still make the tackle..

I watched specifically on the replay to see if it was a spear. It was definitely a shoulder pad that got him as he planted his leg.

I didn't see anything suspicious about it. Just a hard hit on a weak spot. Hope he makes a full recovery and makes trouble for you next year!! :)

there is a picture of it online though i dont have it on here. it was clearly helmet to leg. it was spearing, but not dirty. 11 players were flying down the field to make a play and an unfortunate hit happened. caldwells blocker, #18, missed his block and karl flew over him trying to hit caldwell in the side and bring him down. caldwell turned away from the pile and ran right into karl. technically, it was a spear, but not dirty.

as for the break, swamp gas had a topic on it and some were talking about how it looked like it was on the neck of the bone and not midshaft. a midshaft break would be ok and the bone could reheal by itself and not require surgery. since it might be the neck, it would require immediate surgery because it cant heal by itself. this could potentially affect his career, he will most likely not be close to as good as he was before the injury, and there is a very slight chance that he may never play again.

as for u, int, maybe u can get hit by a train and burn in hell. im a ut fan through and through, but that is low class and its embarrasing to see fans like u.
