He says it disrupts class. Really? So dropping students' grades and making a fuss about an outdated/archaic term is less disruptive? :ermm:

Slightly related: I had a woman hell at me once at the hardware store for saying "bless you," only because I didn't say "God bless you."

Had a Biology teacher ban saying bless you. She didn't drop our grade or anything but she'd stop class and give a lecture about how it distracted class and would mean mug whoever said it.

I would think stopping class to give a non-Biology lecture would be a much bigger distraction.

I would sue the crap out of this school if they lowered my kids grade due to this.

I'd have so many lawyers up his ass he'd be begging for my blessing.
