Call Me Crazy- I Think We Get Auburn Next Week!

You like heading south? We have taken steps back after GA and USC. We did not show up. You are our of your mind!

Only way even possible we beat AU is they believe we are a total joke and take the whole week off and sit out 4 or 5 of their key playmakers.

Despite the poor effort... you like the direction we are heading. What kind of retard comment is that. And not only a stupid comment but to start a thread with that garbage. I mean it is enough to not win but try but you are saying we made a poor effort. My kid doesn't try his best I'm whipping his Az. Ridiculous comment.
I respect your opinion, but think we are on the right track. I think we win next week! If I'm wrong, it wont be the first time!

Team has played good at home this year. Important for us fans to create a great atmosphere next week. Who knows we may have a shot. Still a lot for this team to play for over the next 3 games.

I agree with the effort part. It was poor and there is never an excuse that covers that.

Playing bad football or running out of talent on a play can be dealt with. What was displayed tonite is harder to deal with.

That has to change on the ride home. If it doesn't we re gonna get embarrassed again next week by another team we can compete with.

I agree with this and those who've posted similar responses. At home we play like Tarzan, on the road we play like Jane. After the last two weeks, even Kentucky worries me....

OP, I don't call you crazy at all. I think we win next week, as long as the crowd shows up and helps the team out.
For some reason this team just cannot win on the road against a good team, and they also look like an entirely different team on the road. At home it's a different story. They are going to have to learn how to win on the road. Even CBJ has said this. They will win next week.
There is a lot to be said for the home field advantage, especially in Neyland. We almost beat GA there, and did beat SC. Auburn is no better than those 2 teams imo. You all can also call me crazy all you want, but you'll see.

Damn I love the optimism on this board. I too am guilty of wanting to win and loving our vols. Let's hit them hard next week

Auburn has already gone to TAMU and won, so this notion of the crowd affecting them is kind of weak IMHO.

We lost to two of the better teams in the country on the road with an injured starting QB, and a freshman with little playing experience come in to a hostile environment right out of High School. We beat South Carolina and should have beat Georgia. We have a top recruiting coming in and there is excitement within the program. Auburn should win, but South Carolina should have as well- but they didn't. Our kids will be up for the game, and I still like our chances against Auburn.

Well I don't know about y'all, but I'll be there yelling and screaming my lungs out like the other games and hope everybody else is too. I hope the crowd doesn't give up on them like some on here seem to have.

I agree. We are a completely different team at home for some reason. Its like night and day. Auburn's schedule is as much of a joke as Alabama's and Auburn is very 1inaccurate dimensional. Hell arky ran for 200+ on their D. Our receivers should have a big game as well. If it was in AU we prob get ran out but not at home. Home will be huge for beating them. We just played the 2 best defenses we will play all yr and both on the road. Think we see a different team Sat. Jmo

You havent watched AU play D have you? Sorry a$$ Arky ran the ball all over their D. Miss At and Wash St should have beaten AU. AU is not a top 10 team. We may lose but we arent getting blown out or held to 7 points on that D, especially at home.

If you're actually serious, please explain why we win, other than "you got a feeling."

Living in and having tons of AU fans I have seen all of Auburns games and ya'll are giving them way too much credit. Wash St and Miss St both could and should have beat them, LSU beat the brakes off them. Their best win is against A'M who has a worse D than we do and beat a hurt Manziel. Arky's run game put up over 200 yards on them. And Auburn's schedule is as much of a joke as Ala. AU is very beatable, especially at home plus they have their 2 biggest rivals in GA and Ala after us. I will be glad to admit I was wrong if we get beat but how many teams would look good in Tuscaloosa and in Columbia,Missouri. Im betting we look alot better Sat in Neyland.

Some defeatist mofos up in here. UT beat SC at home. MU handed a win to SC at home.
MU doesn't suck as many believe.

If UT plays like they did against SC they have a good shot against the barn at home. Sorry doom and gloomers. Just a fact.

I would love to see it happen, but you're crazy. I thought ut might have something this year, but what I saw in ttown was not a team that can compete with Auburn. Maybe there is magic when this team is at home, that's what it is going to take. Good Luck

I love the enthusiasm but did you watch the game tonight? I'm not sure how you could come to that conclusion after tonight's lack of effort.

I disagree with folks that say the team quit. If they quit they would have given up more than one score in second half. At end of 3rd qtr the defense sprinted to the other end of the field. This team is coached to never quit, and the fact that they don't reflects their respect for their coaches. Has the team been outclassed some this year? Yes. Have they quit? Not that I have seen.

Have you really watched AU this year, that schedule is as pathetic as Alabama's has been. AU is lucky to not have losses to Was ST, Miss St and A'M. They are very close to a 4 loss team to 2the very bad teams in Wazzu and Miss St and a banged up Manziel and his teams god awful D. The best team AU played was LSU and they got an a$$ beating from a bad defensive LSU team. AU is very beatable in Neyland. They are by far the most overhyped top 10of team now that Miami is out of it.
