Call Me Crazy- I Think We Get Auburn Next Week!

I suggest we rub on some KentuckY jelly before Auburn bends us over.

Edit: I do think UT has a chance to win, but it's a slim chance. We're going to need to fire on all cylinders and contain Marhsall.

Edit 2: And Tre Mason.

Have you really watched AU this year, that schedule is as pathetic as Alabama's has been. AU is lucky to not have losses to Was ST, Miss St and A'M. They are very close to a 4 loss team to 2the very bad teams in Wazzu and Miss St and a banged up Manziel and his teams god awful D. The best team AU played was LSU and they got an a$$ beating from a bad defensive LSU team. AU is very beatable in Neyland. They are by far the most overhyped top 10of team now that Miami is out of it.[/QUOTE

I saw ut play in ttown, that game was over in the first quarter.

What does that have to do with UT/AU? Just about all of our road games have been over by halftime. Oregon looked even better beating our a$$. Guess based on how you predict games Oregon would beat UAT, which I think they really could.

Well, you think ut can beat au, so what do you know. Watching ut play the last 2 weeks, I have seen a confused team and coaches.

I like our chances of beating Auburn. We have played well at home all season.

And let's face it, beating Auburn aint rocket science...and even if it is we have Josh Dobbs. :)

Despite the poor effort today, I like the direction we are headed. I like Butch and our kids!

I hate typing this, but you are crazy. I think (but pray it doesn't) this game gets ugly.

It is in Neyland though, so they have that going for them. Go Vols, beat Auburn!!!!

No one knows what's going to happen. Any team could play their best or their worst game on any given day. Auburn is the better team, but that doesn't mean you know for a fact we will lose. Who picked us to stay close with Georgia and South Carolina?

Let's just hope UT plays their best and Auburn plays at their worst! Home field advantage makes this team play 10x better, so why not?

Have you watched us this year?

This place is like a broken record every week; simply take a team and come up with every way possible to down play them while at the same time completely ignoring anything bad about Tennessee.

A real uphill battle this week:

--Auburn has more team speed.
--Running teams that can get to the corner are tough for UT to defend
--Vols still have average RBs and inexperienced WRs.
--Vols starting a QB who is only on the field because the 3 QBs ahead of him are hurt.
--That QB cannot check out of a bad play (expected due to inexperience)
--Auburn has been winning and expects success, Vols? not so much.

Vols are at home and always have a chance. But, to go into this game expecting a big win is a bit foolish.

I've watched a lot of Auburn this year, and they honestly haven't beaten anyone other than A&M, and that was a pretty lucky video. They're obscenely weak against the run, and while Marshall is a mobile QB, he isn't on the same level as Shaw, Marriota, or even Mauk to be honest.

I think they're the most overrated team in CFB and have benefited from a schedule that gives them 8 home games. Not saying UT will run them out of the building, but they aren't a juggernaut like their cousins to the northwest.

Dobbs looked awful last week at times, and at times he looked brilliant. He isn't going to have a season like Bray's freshman year where he gets to torch cupcakes at the end. He's going up against live competition and it will make him a better QB in the long run.

As for Tennessee's weakness at run D, a halfway decent game plan can help our lack f speed at pretty much every position on defense. Marshall has a bum shoulder and his backup is a true freshman with only garbage time experience, so game planning for the run and making them beat us in the air makes perfect sense right now.

Auburn is better than everyone expected them to be, but they have had a painfully easy schedule that includes 8 home games, so it's not like this is Oregon or Alabama we're looking at. They're beatable, it's just a matter of which Tennessee shows up.

Where'd ya go D?
Will the real TN please 'Stand Up!!'
Snap n clear.

Oh so now Missouri is for real and Auburn is the overrated joke of a team.

This place is amazing.

Where did I say they were real? Listen and comprehend, please. UT is better than UK, does that make us for real? Saying one team is better than the other doesnt make them real. Mizzou can play D and has NFL receivers everywhere. Auburn has neither. Damn Wash St and Miss St easily could have beaten AU in Jordan Hare and LSU, who isnt a good D team this year beat the Brakes off AU. Listen and comprehend, its a simple thing in this tough world we live in. Try it and life will be much easier to follow.

Let me see..we play the #1 team on the road and then we play the best defensive front we have played all yr the next week on the road with TR FR all over the field and at QB. Yea I imagine there may have been some confusion. I know you want to defend AU so you guys can salvage something of an embarrasing, pathetic schedule but AU is not a top 10 team. If Ala and your pu$$y coach would schedule someone out of conference you wouldn't have to try and defend AU. You may want to focus on LSU instead of what we are doing. UT had receivers open sll day, what do you think LSU and their experienced receivers and QB will do?

blah, blag, blah. Every week, same story. Someone starts a thread saying I think we will beat team X this week.

Let's stop the prediction threads and hope this team can somehow manage to salvage a 6-6 season with three games to go. I don't care who we beat, let's just win two of the three remaining games.

Another season without a bowl berth will suck I don't care if we are playing the Patriot's ever week, sooner or later we have to find a way to be on the winning side, fake punts, beast package, Mcullers at tailback, whatever it takes !

JUST WIN BABY !
