I am sick of seeing your disinterested, sour, pouting, poor me, face on the bench. You come across as a selfish spoiled brat. I challenge you to step up and become a VOLUNTEER! Embrace this time of your life and be a part of something special. If not, quit! Your negative attitude does nothing to help this team and is like a cancer that needs to be cut. Please put you to the side and become a member of the team.

I was wondering when someone was going to comment on the death stare he was shooting Fields for having the audacity to cheer from the bench toward the end of the game. Doesn't he realize the atrocity of a star the caliber of Jeronne not being on the floor? How can you be celebrating when such a tragedy is occuring?

Really if you think about it, Maymon becoming part of the rotation could have been the factor of the skid we went on for a few weeks in late December. Chemistry killer.

It may not have helped, but you can't blame Scotty, Brian, and Cam being lazy on Maymon.

This thread really isn't to tear down Maymon, but to challenge him. I don't know if players read this stuff, but I truely hope he is reading this thread. Maymon, please don't let ,YOU, become a hindrance and ruin any kind of chemistry this team has. We want to see you having a good time, and yes, even clap when you see McBee to Pearl for two. I'm going to be like the NFL guys, "C'mon Man!!!"

At least Woolridge loves this University and this team and supports his team even though he doesn't play.

I said the same thing when Pearl complained about it for a week after the PITT and Oakland game

I will never dog on a 20 something student athlete that does all the right things off the court. I will especially never throw a student athlete under the bus during a cold streak. Maybe you should do the same

Thanks for the advice, Mike Gundy. It's respectfully disregarded.

I have to agree. We don't know whats going on in that kid's (not that I have room to talk) mind. as long as he's not toting pistols or getting caught with drugs we should be fine.

How, exactly, is a thread on Volnation going to challenge a basketball player?

Its hard to be positive when you can outplay the guy in front of you. Maymon isn't a great player but he certainly deserves to be our reserve at the 4. But b/c of someones dad he is not. I feel bad for Maymon who would have thought you haven't out grown "daddy ball". I agree about team mode but you have to care about you b/c if you don't know one else will. Maymon has gotten a BAD deal - SP should not be in front of him. I'd be highly surprised if SP showed up at a local rec center w/ the ole "use to be's" and was first player taken...

Steven Pearl outhustles this kid and it isn't even close. What's funny is that Steven Pearl can't even shoot or rebound, yet he is grabbing every single minute and it has nothing to do with "daddy". That should tell you about JM.

I don't mind when people say there are better offensive options than SP...but the kid plays hard and grinds it out, he's a much better option than some punk ass who pouts on the bench.

Get a clue. Has nothing to do with "daddy". What the hell is wrong with people like you? What games are you watching?

Steven Pearl's looked very good the past few games. He knows what he is and is not capable of, and he plays within that.

This is a master plan between Griff and Forbes to motivate Maymon. Look for him to turn into the next Lamar Odom for the rest of his time in Knoxville.

First he needs to lose the attitude, then he needs to get in shape, then he needs to stop forcing bad shot after bad shot, Then he needs to improve defensively. Until he does those things he should not play a minute.

Tell him that to his face tough guy, lmfao!!! He was sick with fever during the LSU game and not in the rotation against Ole Miss. Probably still not feeling great, but calling out an athlete on a message board is Lame on all levels!!!!

I will dog a kid that looks completely disinterested and is on a "FULL RIDE" to the University of Tennessee. I will dog a kid that left his team at the beginning of the year because he wasn't being used the way he was supposed to and was all about himself. Let's face it folks Maymon CURRENTLY doesn't have the proper work ethic and determination to get on the floor. His free throw shooting is the worst I have ever seen in my life. He shoots about 20-25% from the line. He is careless with the basketball and doesn't understand the offense. Hopefully, he kicks it into gear this offseason and realizes the oppurtunity he has next season in regards to playing time. Or else ****, stop pouting on the bench and allow us to use the scholarship on someone who wants to be here.

In regards to S. Pearl, he is having one hell of a year and deserves 10-15 minutes a game. Honestly, besides B. Williams he is the #1 player I would bring off the bench. He understands his role in our offense and defense, plays great defense, rebounds well, and was the spark (along with B. Williams) that got us in front of Ole Miss for good yesterday.
