Cam had an excellent workout today for the Memphis Griz. He was lights out shooting and was very vocal during the workout. Tony Barone Jr was very impressed. He said Cam is a lock to be on an NBA summer league roster.

In Cam's post workout interview he was very complimentary of Coach Martin. He credited Marin with making him a strong leader for the Vols last season.

Grizz gm has a video out reviewing all of today's players and a summary. Definitely most impressed by tatum and loved the way he shot. Maybe can was hot, but he's erring an invite back, and if he shoots that way again sounds as though grid would be interested in him, really looking for shooters.

Other players, kris Joseph, tony wroten and Kevin jones.

I was thinking the same but figured I'd leave I alone. The hawks are what 3 hours away at the most, and tatum happens to be from Georgia. Pretty sure they'd be the "home" team for tatum.

I was thinking the Hawks too. Add that whole anti-Vols sentiment that runs through a lot of Memphis and I found the "local team" thing a bit out of place.

maybe I should have said closest geographical teams.....usually a players agent gets him try outs with the closer teams to his school.....its why my favorite NBA team usually has most of the graduating temple players try out in front of them.

Hawks are closer, and he is from GA. Like everyone else has said.

Considering I can be at the fed ex forum to see the Grizz play within about an hour I'd say yes :)
I'd like for vols fans to back the titans , grizzlies, and the predators. I'm stuck between Memphis and vandy , but I bleed orange. I drive 5 and a half hours for every home game. I do it 3 times a yr. That's what gets us west tn Vols so pumped about being in Neyland . A days drive just thinking about knocking the hell outta some gators !
... But I do admit, the state will never back a pro team like we do our Vols

Of all the great players we have had lately wear orange, wouldn't it be amazing that Cam is the one that makes the big league?

yes and he may get a try out with the hawks.....the point was that his agent will try to get him a try out with teams close to his client....them hawks and grizzlies are both fairly close......everyone gets a try out.....it had nothing to do with who his coach is.

Was thinking this same thing myself. He has the perfect size/length for a SG/SF. Probably won't happen, but it'd be funny to look back to all of the posts that bashed Cam from earlier this year if he did make a team.
