We'll see how it goes against UNC, but it may be time for Warlick to face reality--and that reality is that the L. Vols have a problem at shooting guard. Can we play Carter at that position and have Reynolds back up Massengale? Simmons should be coming off the bench for 10 minutes a game. I think that is the best role for her--at least in big games against good teams.

Carter can play the one or two and so can Massengale. I actually think Massengale plays better at the two and Carter plays better at the point. Regardless I like to see them in there together. We all know Meghan runs hot and cold she could hit ten of ten from the three versus NC or 0 of 10 just the way she shoots. Hopefully if she is not playing well Holly will make the change.

and almost always cold against the better teams. We saw that all last year, saw it against Louisville, saw it the year before, and I think Warlick needs to see it.

your back to a short bench with injuries last year, hopefully the injuries are few and far in between this year armchair,i do wish CHW would carry at least 13 players in the years to come instead of 10

interestingly enough bringing up Louisville, my memory is that in her freshman year she was the player who carried the team in their opening game against Louisville at Louisville.

However, I don't disagree that as shooter the big games are frequently those where she doesn't perform to her potential.

I haven't seen Carter in action yet but can someone give me a lil heads up on her?
Other than watching a few interviews with them showing minimal highlights, I'm surprised she is not starting.
I really like the fact that she likes the physical play as a guard & loves to play D!

I really thought Simmons would have matured mentally and have more patience but it sounds like the same Meighan but just a different year. Sixth woman sounds great for her but I highly doubt CHW will yank her. But who knows.

Meighan single-handedly destroyed UNC last year. You can expect they will have prepared well for her this year and maybe that will allow our post players to dominate. Go Speedy!!

Perhaps the most important characteristic a player can have is consistency. Something Meighan doesn't have. Which Meighan will show up against UNC?

It's a team game. Simmons went 1/5 last night for 3's but the team still won. You can also struggle on offense but excel at defense and vice versa.
