I got this jersey in I believe 2010, but cannot find anything on it, and any Adidas jersey I do find is always screen printed. Is it even genuine?

Degrees of real:
-- Is it a physical item? Yes.
-- Is it the right design and colors? Appears to be.
-- Was it made for the team's players to wear (as opposed to just some fan jersey on sale somewhere)? Can't help you there.
-- Did a player actually wear it? Ditto.
-- Did a player actually wear it in a game? If you don't see any grass, sweat, or blood stains, this is unlikely.

Good luck, I hope it's as real as you want it to be!

p.s. At some point in the very early days of the idea of NIL, schools stopped selling jerseys with any player number they didn't already have rights to. Like, I think at that point, Tennessee stopped endorsing or selling any jersey other than those we've retired, like Peyton's #16. That info might help in some way. Cheers!

I know it's definitely not team issued or game worn. I was more so trying to figure out if it's a legitimate Adidas jersey or if it's a knockoff.

I would bet money it is really an Adidas product.

The knockoff product manufacturers know they won't stay in business long breaking trademark law. To get around that, a Casio becomes Caslo, or Bulova becomes Buluva.

These look legit:

And represent two fairly powerful and probably litigious trademark owners (not just the sportswear company, but also the university).

So I do think it's real, in the sense you mean.

Go Vols!

I have a real jersey that I got from the university and they come in chest sizes not small medium large etc…what makes me think yours is a Chinese ripoff (jersey looks great by the way) the adidas is stitched. The ones sold in bookstores have screen printed Adidas logos same as the numbers.

I thought that at one point the vols team store (online) sold stitched jerseys 14-15 years ago. I could be 100 percent wrong though I was 12 at the time.

Looks like a book store Marlin Lane Jersey to me. Not sure they’ve had another #4 since then popular enough to warrant making jerseys to sell, especially when it was still Adidas and had the black logo under the neck. Donta Stallworth’s jerseys didnt have the black logo i dont think.

I do. It's not a huge loss if it's not. I collect jerseys and usually I know exactly where they came from ,but this one is one of the few I don't know about.
Long as it’s the right shade of orange it’s a good one. In seriousness unless it was a player jersey I wouldn’t care about the authenticity but to each his own. If you collect them I can understand your need to figure it out.
