Why would McBee and Pearl Jr. ever be on the court at the same time? We should never be that un-athletic. Pearl's rotation decisions are terrible and leave UT completely vulnerable.

Losing B. Williams, T. Smith and Negedu has really hurt our ability to match up with bigs but we still have better options than what we are using. We need to go to a zone defense to offset our personnel mismatches.

The rotation should be:

Maze/Bone at PG
Hopson/McBee
Prince/Tatum
Woolridge/Hall
Chism/Hall(until Williams returns and then Hall should start at the 4)

Our first team is versatile and has enough scorers that we can afford to have Woolridge on the floor. Bring in Hall to spell either Woolridge or Chism.

Also, is Bruce planning to recruit any more size for when Chism leaves next year? Hall won't be able to do it all and Harris & Maymon do not play like bigs. Williams is hopeless at this point.

Pearl's inability to put together a complete team is maddening and his son is taking up a scholly that should go to someone who can play.

I agree that the rotation sucks right now.

Pearl is a walk-on and not taking up a scholarship, but that does not change the fact that he should not be on the floor.

his son is a walk on i do believe

your right! losing 4 hurts. Bruce doesnt have much to work with as far as a rotation goes. these young guys are learning, we're just gonna have to sit back and show some patience with them because they are going to make a lot of mistakes

My mistake. Thank God we don't waste a scholly on him.

I do not think McBee should get a scholly unless he can start making better decisions. He may play hard but his shot selection is terrible. He should have to run a huge number of laps every time he takes a shot where he is not wide open.

He doesn't hit many of them when he is wide open, I'm a little let down by the way he's been shooting. I know he's a walk-on but expected a little more.

Go small. I've said it before, and I'm sticking with it: Maze, Hopson, Tatum, Prince and Chism on the floor together as much as possible. You sacrifice some rebounding and interior defense, but gain more steals and far more offensive options. I think, at this point, the tradeoff is worth it.

I think that's the best lineup as well. It would have been especially beneficial tonight because Vandy was playing 4 guards much of the game.

Steven Pearl is unique though...The only coach's son in basketball history that shoots free throws like Ben Wallace.

Bone is done...Melvin will get his minutes back on Sunday. The thing that irks me the most is that Bruce gave a scholly to Melvin that should have went to John Jenkins. That drives me crazy that Bruce didn't recruit that kid.

Pearl admitted it earlier in the season that he recruited himself into a corner. 3/4 of his team is small, and when we do make it to the tourny and have to face a Georgetown, or a michigan State with size like Georgia had. We'll take a beat down. Woolridge has to play better, Wayne has to play better, and the rest will fall into place. Hopson is the only pure shooter on or team ATM, and we just don't have a true 4 or 5. With Tyler Smith on the court, Wayne is a a threat at 4, but, but with Wane at the 5, that leaves Woolridge at the 4, and Very limited scorers. We willrecover, and CBP will have one of his finest coaching years. It is just hard to watch/listen to sometimes, kinda reminds you of a Randy Sanders Offensive, :banghead2: :banghead2: :mf_surrender: :mf_surrender: :disappointed: :disappointed:

Oh, where to start you basketball neophyte. Let's see, you lost 4 knuckleheaded scholarship players. What "rotation" are you expecting with the remaining players? Vols were 9-10 deep before the legal issues. Now they are 6 deep. It's called basic subtraction.

I hear Bruce is scouting only players 6'3 and smaller. He's also put out a Help Wanted ad for (2) 5'6 guards. BP does a pretty good job getting decent players to Knoxpatch. It just isn't that great of a program or draw to your average inner city, 5 star player. You should thank your stars that he has assembled the talent he has in the last 4 years.

His team was pretty "complete" prior to four players acting like fools. Deal with the fact that with a short bench the rest of this year, the Vols will beat some teams they shouldn't when they are shooting well (Kansas) and lose to lesser teams when they are not, or are in foul trouble (Georgia/Vandy). Just the way it is.
