make a tire that lasts more than 15 laps. I wish Nascar would have stayed like it was in the early 90s.

:good!: Things are getting stupider by the week on the Cup series, be it a new rule change, or an order from the ownership that anyone who complains will be fined, no mentioning this or that.

Brian France and that Walrus looking dummy Helton are making it suck, imo.

Vickers just adds insult to injury. Finally, the green flag and he blows up.
Caution out again.

That's the part I don't get. They are going yellow every 12 laps. You'd think they could squeeze the commercials in.

This is shameful for NASCAR, Goodyear, and a real ripoff for the fans who spent the money on tickets and travel to get there.

How the hell can Goodyear miss so bad on the tires? It's not as if they don't have plenty of data to work with from experience, bad thing is, it seems to be a recurring problem this year.

The greatest speedway in the world turned into a joke by NASCAR. I'm glad I passed on today for MotoGP tickets in September. What a shame. Hopefully NASCAR was looking in the stands and took the hint.

not trying to defend NASCAR by any means, but that was the problem. I watched very little of the race, but from my understanding, NASCAR/Goodyear only did one small tire test with the COT at Indy and essentially just brought the same tire from last year. That tire obviously doesn't work on this car. Piss poor planning and testing.

Agreed, but it's not as if a tire that would hold up fairly well at Indy is 1000% different from a tire that does the trick at Pocono or Michigan, either. It just seems as if there are immeasurably more tire complaints and gripes that i can ever recall in 25 years of watching.

each track has different elements that make compounds quite different. Instead of jumping the gun so soon on the COT, NASCAR should have done sufficient testing to get EVERYTHING right from tire compounds at each track to making it the best possible show of racing while still being the safest type of racing they can allow.

I love how that NASCAR wouldn't allow anyone to stay out under that last caution. I had told my dad before that last caution that if I was running about 20th on back I would pit under the previous caution with 20 laps to go and then just go out there and run 3-4 seconds slower a lap until the caution with 10 to go and then stay out and hope I might win.

I saw no one stay out and couldn't believe it and also couldn't believe the announcers didn't say anything about it. Then I find out NASCAR made that last stop mandatory for at least two tires and told the teams not to complain about it. Oh well, horrible race. Pocono is next week - it will be bad but nothing like this week. At least the Nationwide guys are in Montreal and that will be a good race.

Are not all competition yellows mandatory?

BTW...what a sucky race.

What a pathetic showing of a "race". I hope NASCAR is happy with their project-gone-bad they call the Car of Tomorrow. They made this bed and the drivers and fans have to lay in it.

They've took everything out of the hands of the teams and dictate what they can run. Nascar has become a control freak and they're ruining a fine sport.

What's really odd is that the track wouldn't even hold the rubber as the drivers laid it down. The track just turned the tires to dust... wierdest thing I've ever seen in a race.
