Can/should the Supreme Court stop the bailout?

Please give me hope that they could stop the socialism. Tell me how they could stop it.

Someone would have to be "injured" by the law to challenge it in court on constitutional grounds. I don't think a taxpayer has standing to do so. And plus the plaintiff would have to identify a basis for the challenge -- could say it's an unconstitutional delegation of legislative power to the executive but that's almost impossible based on past caselaw, the SCt has allowed virtually unrestricted delegation of such power as long as there is an "intelligible principle" to guide the executive agency in its use of such power, and certainly there is in this case. Best thing would be to convince Congress to repeal it.

There's also the Fed, which is doing all of its activity without even the approval of Congress -- it's just using its pre-existing statutory powers. Basically, the SCt probably can't do jack.
