I have multiple UGA friends that are really worried about Saturday, and that anxiety has only risen for them as they are claiming multiple key injuries have been reported. Has anyone seen this? Can someone share a link if they have or provide a summary?

It’s part of the game. Ain’t feeling sorry for a team that has 4 years stacked with top 5 recruiting seasons. They got players. If they didn’t develop them, that’s on the coaches. We have been injured, all teams get injured. We lost Tillman and it was next man up.

Everyone knows you got to be able to play 2 deep in the SEC. 3 deep rotation on the lines in the SEC. Teams that don’t got that will have issues.

There is a case study on that. Tennessee 2008-2020.

Nolan Smith being out is going to have the biggest impact. He was going to be the biggest threat to Hooker in the backfield. Their best pass rusher by far, and a major contributor to their run defense as well. Having him out will definitely be an advantage for us.

It's probably going to be off-set somewhat by Jalen Carter being back though, he is their other All-American talent on the DL who gets plenty of pressure. He has been out most of the year but came back last week and Smith left after the first quarter. We won't have to deal with both at the same time either though.

Carter is an absolute beast. My only consolation is our pace and tempo might keep him on the sideline OR on the field for far longer than he needs to be. If we can manage him when he is fresh, I like our chances. If he starts a drive on the sideline, we need to go super quick and not slow up to allow them to get him in.

Yes, we need to be able to win on 1st and 2nd down, not get behind the chains. Same as always, but if we can't it'll be some quick, meaningless possessions. It's going to be a huge match up between our OL and their DL. If we can hold up and RUN with success, I feel really good about our chances to score 40 something points.

He's more of a situational pass rusher, no? He's not going to be out there every snap.

I think it will depend how healthy he is. Last week was the first time he had played in a month so I don't think he played constantly. He's not a role player by nature though. If he's healthy, he'll play as much as anybody else they have.

When healthy, he is an every down player. Anderson 1a - Carter 1b in defensive players in the nation in my opinion. He's that good. We were able to neutralize Anderson...hoping for the same against Carter.
