I just read the following article:

http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../511020416/1035

What bothers me most about this is that Fulmer has not issued an order to his players to NOT speak to the media about this issue. This is OVER. Nothing can be done about it. Instead of talking about this they should be focused completely on the Notre Dame game not hashing out internal family issues and lashing out at fans. The last thing the university, the team and the fans need is some pissing contest about Sanders when this issue has been decided and we're trying to move on.

I can understand a sense of loyalty to Sanders but having players line up to make statements like this is another strike against Fulmer.

What the !#$@$@ is going on up there???

You're probably right in that they shouldn't be talking to the media, but on the other hand, that was about as brutally honest it gets. Clausen is a stand up guy.

Maybe if Sander had NOT called our 248th screen pass/ horizontal play SC wouldn't have jumped the route. A two way blame!

I agree Don . . . It was an absolutely horrible read and throw, but that was one playcall that I didn't like. Hard to ask a QB with a very average arm to throw an out route across the field when the DBs have zero respect for the deep ball and are sitting on every route waiting to break on the ball.

Clausen can not throw the Out ball every time he does the ball looks like it has helium in it. I have never seen a QB throw such a lame out ball....every team has given us the middle of the field all year long because we dont use it....

I personally think that Clausen is just like his brother. All talk.

That being said, the Vols have actually been hurt by closing practice. With CPF predicting a Rose Bowl run, I find myself frustrated as a fan that we don't know what is going on in practice, and that makes me more skeptical about the team.

I have heard that the Vols are playing exactly like they have been practicing....dropping passes, and fumbling. If that is the case, at least the fan base could have had more realistic expectations.

If Clausen could throw with his mouth....UT would be undefeated.

The nerve of a person that probably has never seen a football playing field except from the grandstands. What Clausen said was right on the money, he took the blame like he should have, but now they ALL must let it go and consentrate on what is next for the team.

Played football for about 12 years, and football is a family affair. One uncle played D1 receiver the other D1 qb, one cousin in the NFL. Sorry bout your luck their Coondog. You are barking up the wrong tree.

RC is not a D1 qb, but he runs his mouth like one.

I disagree maroon wildcat. I will always use the Banks Headless Chicken Offense to sum up Sanders' career as the OC at UT. Clausen states that a fumble here and a fumble there and we would be undefeated. Even so our offense would still be 100th in the country. Ever since Sanders' took over the UT offense has had one too many three and outs and one too many starts in opposing teams territory and coming out with 0 points. I didn't call Foolmer Field Goal Phil for nothing.

Like a balsa wood guitar shot to the head.

Don't forget the baby powder inside to add effect. WHAM! Maybe that's what's wrong with Randy Savage, too many guitar shots to the head.
