Alabama has a much easier ending to their season, playing Arkansas next weekend who is by far the worst team in the SEC. Would take some sort of meltdown for Alabama not to sweep the series.
UT has Kentucky, which despite their SEC record is a very solid team that has lost a lot of close games. Sweeping Kentucky is unlikely, which means to finish ahead of Alabama, UT will need to win the next two at Alabama, then at least one from Kentucky. If UT splits the last two with Alabama then they need to sweep Kentucky. If they lose the last two to Alabama, then they have little to no chance of overtaking them.
Auburn at #3 right now is probably out of reach as well as they also have three games left against Arkansas. If they sweep ARK and get swept by LSU UT would need to win out from today on to jump them as Auburn probably holds tiebreaker over UT (won 2-of-3).
LSU at #2 can be caught if they lose a game to Missouri and then 2-of-3 to Auburn, but again, requires UT to win out for that to happen. Not likely that LSU goes worse than 3-3 in last six games.
At the end of the day the only thing UT can do is play the games they are in and worry about the other stuff later. I for one was a little surprised at how well Gabriel held it together last night, her stamina has really improved over the last few weeks. Good timing for her to hit her peak.
