I do not know this family, I just happened to come across this story and found it heartbreaking, and thought maybe if I could even get a handful of posters to donate it would help. America's Healthcare system has failed this child and it doesn't sit with me.

TIA.
I'll give a little. She's over half way to her goal. I'm not sure why our medical system has failed here other than we don't have Dr's that perform that surgery. Sounds like She's likely had insurance that have paid 100s of thousands of dollars on her surgeries and care. The article doesn't get into details as to why they don't do that surgery. Maybe it's risky?

Maybe. Either way. Our Healthcare is the most expensive in the world because its the best in the world. If there's multiple Dr's in Germany that can do the surgery, there should be at least 1 here.

Thank you for donating.

From my own experience it's usually liability issues. If they deem it too risky they won't attempt it due to lawyers on every corner suing for everything.
