Now that Stokes is returning and the Vols are set to be one of the most powerful teams in the country can they pull off a Top 25 recruiting class for this upcoming year? Just wondering what everyone thinks considering the Vols lose a ton of talent after this season. Go Vols!

It's very possible but Martin is going to have to go up against top programs for top recruits.

Hopefully it starts with Phillip Cofer forward and son of Vol legacy Mike Cofer of football fame. That would be a fantastic start.

That would be a great start. I think Jalen Lindsey will be a tough one to get out of all of them.

If he can start with Cofer and then pick up one of the three L's (Looney *my pick* Lyle or Lindsey) we will be going in the right direction.

We really need two ready to play post players in that class and dynamic point guard. We could move Thompson to the two position if we could get someone like Chris Chiozza and Richardson back for his senior year and hopefully Hubbs for sophomore year gives us another solid team. The key is post players that can play in that class. I think AJ is gonna develop into a good player Rwane and the others will never help much.

I really think we need to go after high school players and develop them for 4 years if we strike out on a couple early then go the JUCO route. I want to have a team like UofL has. Rick Pitino goes after players that have potential for one and done but most likely stay and he develops the team around players and works with them. We need players that fit the team. I agree we need a quick shifty point guard that can break a press by himself.

I am happy for Coach Martin as well that Stokes is returning. CCM really did step into a mess and its been tough on him these first 2 years and they were a tourney team that got snubbed this past season. But with that said and as happy as I am for CCM this class needs to be Top 25 and it needs star power so he and his staff need to get very busy!!! Go Vols!

They definitely can, as this years class is very close to top 25 by a few services. Something to watch will be if recruits we are targeting are making their decisions early or late...if they go early it may hurt our chances, if they wait to see how our season goes it would be much better for us IMO.

I hope your right and we are one of the most powerful teams in the country. The problem might be Kentucky and pay pal Cal. has about 6 five star players signed for the up comming season for the cats.

Whys that a problem? We will likely only play them once next year, so what's one SEC loss in the grand scheme of things?

We will need a top 10 type class considering we will lose almost every bit of our firepower next year. When you subtract Maymon, Stokes, McRae, and Golden you had better bring in top shelf talent or we will be one year wonders.

Would love to have Cofer. I really don't like our chances with several of the other high major prospects like Lindsey, Looney or Lyle. The more big time programs are involved I feel the less likely we get them. It does say something that CCM is on their list though. I see a good possibility of Cofer, Chiozza and Haas.

No we won't. Do you understand what it takes to have a top 10 class? We need contributors that can come in and perform day one. We aren't a program right now that can just bring in top 10 talent. We have a chance to have one but it's def not mandatory. Hubbs will be here most likely after next season and maybe Stokes too if he under performs.

Even those three that's a good good class bring in one of the L's and we are a top 15 class. We need to replace talent not have to rebuild the team next year.

There is no reason we shouldn't get a top 25 class this year. Good team, good attendance. This is the year we need to do 2 things.. Get in the tournament and get a top tier class to set the bar for cuonozo and the future

If we can pull one of them then I will be thrilled. Would really love Looney but I just don't see us getting him. I see Cuonzo as a pieces type of recruiter in that he is looking for specific pieces to fit his puzzle. Granted he may be the only person who sees it but I really believe that he thinks he's getting what he wants.

In my heart of hearts I'm a "take the very best available" type of guy so I can understand my own disappointment too. I am willing to see how these pieces fit into the scheme. I was pleasantly surprised to see what Reese brought to the table as a stretch 4 and what Yemi brought as a defender. I can see what he liked in them but thy didn't put it all together yet. Think Hubbs may be a guy that has a complete game. I'd like to see more like him and this class may be the one that does it.

You don't have to sign top 10 kids to have a top 10 class. 1 kid in the top 25 and two in the top 75 and another in the top 100 would get you there.

I think they need a top 10 class, too.

A top 10 class is tough period is what I'm saying. We signed a 5 star and two players that were top 200 players and didnt get top 25. For a top 10 class we'll need nothing but 5 and 4 stars and that's tough.
