...who was completely wrong about this from the very beginning, so we know never to believe them ever again? The smart money all along was on Gruden wanting to go back to the NFL. Reporting he was interested or UT was pursuing him was one thing, but waaaay too many "insiders" stuck their necks out saying it was a done deal and wait for the big announcement and that we had nothing to worry about. Time to feast on some crow

Also, this isn't Dave Hart's fault. He can't force Gruden out of the MNF booth to come coach here.

I never believed them 100%, I was just amazed at how sure of themselves they were, when pretty much every credible national media outlet said it was a longshot at best.

If you come to a message board to read the absolute truth, you will always leave disappointed. These posters with information are not directly in the meetings or at the negotiating table. 2nd or 3rd hand information. Situations can change quickly. I don't falut them for trying to keep others informed. They don't force you to be here. Up to you to form your own opinions.

I don't want them to be banned, but it would be nice for some of the more adamant ones to come back and own up; either their sources were wrong, that it was right and something fell through at the end, or if they were playing us all along.

I know no one will admit the last one, but some of these guys might as well reveal their sources since they obviously suck.

How about scarlet letters on VN for people who adamantly post incorrect info?

I bought into it and believed we would get him. But last I checked we are all adults nobody made anyone believe anything. Kind of silly blaming other people for thinking for you. Not sure I would admit to that. I chose to believe and blame nobody but myself, nobody held a gun to my head..just sayn..

I never believed it 100%, look at my posts last night in the Gruden XIII thread (which was apparently the official meeting place for the dumbest Vol fans on the planet last night by the way) and I was skeptical.

But for people to come on here and assure us it's happening over and over and then be proven incredibly wrong- well, two months from now when these people are telling us some blue-chip recruit is a Vol lock, they need to have a scarlet letter next to their name so we know to take their info with a grain of salt.

There was alot of back and forth but yes at one point LWS was quoted as saying it was 5%, but I'm thinking at some point prior to that had stated 100%.

some of the people on that list consistently posted 100% and even listed out assistant names
