Can we get Buzz back as an assistant?

Clearly Pearl has no control over the players he recruited. It would be nice to get Buzz back just to recruit. Pearl can actually coach those guys. Now that UT is back on the map Buzz could recruit better players. Im not being serious at all but it could prob work.

Interesting. seeing as Buzz took Dane bradshaw over Lee Humphrey who was clearly a better player. Buzz also got credit for Chris Lofton but I remind you he fell in our lap because Tubby smith took Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford over C-LO and wanted him to walk on and Rick Pitino wanted him but also didnt have a scholarship to give. So I guess that is great recruiting. Jajaun Smith was a walk on at first. C.J. Watson while being from Las vegas wanted to come to Tennessee because had relatives in mid state area. Buzz did recruit Major wingate and jon Winchester, Elgrace wilborn as well as Jemere Hendrix and Andy Ikeakor. they were awesome, Oh wait they ended up just like Duke Crews and Ramar Smith casualties. The only difference was Buzz players were infereior and only way to succeed was out hustle. Bruce more talented guys but don't have the go get em attitude.

No. We need Pearl recruiting and marketing while Don Devoe does the game coaching. That guy could wring something out of nothing like nobody ever. Just never had enough somethings (Dale Ellis aside).

BTW, who was that high schooler that went NBA? He committed to Buzz, but went pro. Remember, Tyler Smith was committed to Buzz until he got fired.

Jackie Butler. he was originally a Mississippi st Bulldog but when they realized he wasn't going to academically qualify they said see ya. In came Buzz and yes he got the commit but everyone knew it was all for not. The poor guy could not talk at all.
