Can we win the SEC Tournament

Don't. Although I occasionally taunt (okay, at least three times a day) and am well known for backhanded compliments to UT, for the most part on here I try at least a little to be objective. Same goes for Florida. I don't expect them to win the SEC tourney. Would be nice and help seeding, but at the same time why risk injury? I mean, its not like UF has a chance at a 1 seed. Now if UT wins outto that point, heck, it might mean that so then you have to reevaluate how much effort its worth. But in all likelihood it will not make ro break your NCAA seeding.

I do think Tennessee gets the 1 seed in the east, i believe the gators will go 4-2 with the vols going 3-3 maintaining the one game lead.

I am hoping that I will not be disappointed as I have in the past, I have never experienced UT on Sunday in the final game.

I'm with you Volunteer. I'd rather continue to be pleasantly surprised rather than work myself up with expectations which even a month ago would have seemed completely ridiculous.

I agree...Just another money maker for the SEC!! It is important though if you are trying to play your way in or on the Bubble.

it's almost ridiculous to consider that Tennessee would have 20 wins before the SEC tourney, hell, I STILL can't believe it. We would have been happy with 8-8 in the conference and right now, the large Orange haven't lost an SEC East game and sitting pretty at 9-1.

My prediction at the beginning of the season was 16-13 with a win and a loss in the SEC tourney, how wrong was I?

Really wrong, but in a good way.

The best four teams in the SEC are UT, LSU, UF and Bama (order based on record).

One of these 4 is highly likely to take it all. We've shown the most resilency so far this season.

Bama is playing with 7 total players - tough to sustain the effort for 3 straight.
LSU has all kinds of talent but weakest guard play of the group.
UF has the best overall talent but are young.
UT has the system for a 3 game run but is limited in size.

Match-ups are critical but I'd say us or UF are the favorites.

7? Is that it? We should wear them down then.

I worry about Bama. They will give us some matchup problems inside as they have athlethic good jumpers and are well coached. I want to see what happens this Saturday. Of course Pearl outcoached Gotfried last year in the NCAA tourney.

I WAS worried about Bama until volinbham brought it to my attention that they're only really playing 7 players. We will run them under the gym.

They will probably try to control the tempo. Besides we only had seven play meaningful minutes against Georgia.

We haven't one more than two games in the SEC tournament in how many years and all of the sudden we SHOULD win the tourney, Come on people...Tennessee hasn't been in this position in years, savor the victories, cheer like hell when they play but this motley group of players (don't get me wrong, this may be my favorite UT team of all time) has no reason to be where they are. If they lose in the first round of the SEC tournament and the first round of the NCAA tournament, I will still be proud of what this team has done and will never throw out a "What if"
agreeing with gator fans aside, i'm with you Volunteer. I think we are capable of anything at this point, and that's what should worry everyone, esp. our opponents.

THis has been a great season thus far, and why ruin it with "expectations". This truly has been fun to watch, and anything they get from this point forward is "gravy".

Great thread.
I worry about the likelihood of us playing our style in three games over just a what, five day span? We should do well. Get to the final? Then win that? May be a little much to ask.

Either way, a round one win should pretty much cement our NCAA seed, whatever that might be...

I think we have a good shot at it,But no doubt it will be a tough task.as the gators the lsu tigers even bammer & ky will not lie down and as was stated 3 games in 3 days not easy for anyone, but i have confidence in CBP & the Big Orange!
GO VOLS :clapping:

imo, the three games back to back plays in our favor. It has been evident this year we are the most conditioned team in the sec, we might be out talented, but not more conditioned.
