Canada Cup.... Canadian open Fastpitch Championships

Melissa and the California A's won the Canadian Cup Women's Elite Division with a 3-2 win over Great Britain in the Championship.

The A's went 12-0 by scoring 83 runs and giving up 3 runs (1 earned). This was the teams only tournament of the year and played great with only 1 team practice before playing in the Tournament.

Melissa was selected an All Tourney "All Star" based upon here pool play performance (criteria for selection was based upon the 8 game pool Numbers).

Melissa was also selected the MVP - Top Batter of the tournament. I am attaching her tournament stats...

Ralph and Karen were in attendance... Karen watched Melissa go 2 for 2, walk, double and solo home run in the Cal A's 1-0 win over white rock in round 2 of the playoffs... White Rock added 5 new players for the round 2 of bracket play.. (on roster but unable to attend pool play games)

Quite a feat for Melissa - was nice of the UT coaches to attend it also -- should be a banner year at UT for Melissa -- take care

UT Coaches were at the Canadian Tournament in their official capacity as Team USA Representatives. Karen was an assistant coach with Team USA and Ralph was filling his role as an advisor and one of the five member selection committee (??) ... or something like that.... They were wearing their Team USA gear.

It rained Friday through Tuesday with Temps in the low 60s and then was warm and sunny Wednesday through Sunday with Temps in the high 70s to low 80s.

Then we got back to Fresno and Temp is 106 Today with 108 and 109 in the forecast. No humidity but still a big UGH!!
