. . . achieves parity with the american dollar.

Bush's don't tax and spend policies seem to be working magic on the value of the greenback.

Oh well, another dollar, another day.

I'm pretty gratified.....I've had roughly $60CDN sitting on top of my dresser since April. Good to see something of mine appreciating

There was a big jump in the Canadian dollar from the mid 80s to the low 90s earlier this year or so.....and that was driven purely by a surging Canadian economy. Alberta is bankrolling the whole country. However, the last 8 cents or so were based solely on a weakening dollar and some speculation/will for parity to be reached.

That's what happens when you print money like there is never a reckoning. Investors get cold feet.

so does this mean that magazines can print one price :)

It's not just magazines. This is a real problem for the Canadian economy right now. A strong Canadian dollar is not that good for their economy because of existing pricing systems.
