Tickets to the Tennessee game are priced high to begin with. I didn't look this season but in seasons past single game tickets to most of their games were like $10 from the ticket booth, but the Tennessee game would be $100 (Kentucky game also with a markup, but not as high). They do something similar with season tickets for football when they have a home game against us. It's simple economics: there is no demand in Nashville to watch Vanderbilt but there's huge demand to watch Tennessee. My brother was looking for tickets and anything decent was priced at over $300. They'll probably drop before Saturday but it looks like Dore fans/ticket holders are hoping to make a buck off the Big Orange faithful.
They really have no place in the SEC, just an anchor weighing down the conference. And great baseball + academics don't make them a valuable member.vandie commode-doors have been doing this sort of thing for years. They are the SEC Welfare college in that they reap the financial benefits of the Conference while contributing nothing, except for baseball. Just another reason for me to hate vandy/Candy.
There's not really a good reason to kick them out. They're usually a free win, and if not they're grounds to fire your coach. In football at least I'm not sure any coach has lost to them in recent years without eventually getting fired.Do conferences ever kick a member out? If so, Vandy needs to find a new home. They’re not even trying to compete
No. They also contribute to bowling.(BLUE FONT 4 SURE).vandie commode-doors have been doing this sort of thing for years. A lot of those tickets are unsold by VU & put in market by them. Their season ticket base is way down. VU don’t really care if the seat is empty or sold for $300.My brother was looking for tickets and anything decent was priced at over $300. It's kind of semantics, but the SEC isn't going to kick any members out at this point. I'd be incredibly surprised, though, if the "final form" of conference realignment didn't involve 12/14 SEC schools breaking off to join a new conference or super league for football that ultimately involves all of the other sports. Once that happens, there's basically no chance that Vanderbilt will find itself included.Do conferences ever kick a member out? If so, Vandy needs to find a new home.
