Can't remember...Can Worley run or is he a drop back guy?

I'm assuming Peterman will be in the mix. I think Worley played in kind of a dink and dunk short passing system at HS in SC but I could be wrong. I really don't think we've seen enough of that kid to make a judgement yet.

I'd also say that BJ will bring a new QB or two in the recruiting process. Ferguson being one---and hopefully Woolard. It seems like to me the QB in BJ's system has to be mobile not a Vick type of player but be mobile enough to move around in the pocket and adjust on the fly. I have to say I'm excited about the prospect of a new QB behind center. It'll be interesting with this new offense IMO.

If Worley starts, Jones will be fired quicker than Dooley was. Worley is probably a great kid, but there has to be something wrong mentally. I don't think he can take the pressure of performing in the SEC. He's awful.

Woulard is who we really need, I watched that kid on Elite 11, and he has "winner" all over him. Ferguson is a thug, he tries to act like a thug sort of like Eric Ainge when he came. I don't want a thug at quarterback. Get Woulard let him take off in trouble, and we will start winning football games. Add that to a Kamara or Greene, and watch out, these boys could be dangerous. If CP stays another year, we could be explosive again.

BTW Sunseri might have been the worst coordinator in the NCAA last year. Also, I go to law school with Randall Gay, former NFL player, he has told me how Dooley was a players coach and liked to play around. Makes sense why Tyler Bray publicly disrespected him on multiple occasions. Dooley wasn't ready for head coaching. (water under the bridge)

Butch Jones looks like he comes with an energy everyday and expects his players to perform to the utmost. I love his drive, and it looks to me like he will not be impressed by stardom and discipline accordingly. I like the hire, just a quarterback away from being great again.

Interesting you say that...What's your take on Peterman? I think he could be as productive as a Woulard...JMO.

Not saying the clothes make you act or conduct yourself a certain way, but Ainge used to wear Ecko jorts and flat bill hats. Ainge to his credit, has really turned himself around and has become a high character man. The struggle is real and is hard to break.

Further, great comment about Worley, I do not know how anybody could still be on his wagon. He's mediocre at best, no where close to having the arm Bray has. I have not seen much of Peterman, but I'd rather have Woulard.
Although skeptical because the last time we had a running quarterback (Brent Shaeffer), he failed miserably. But, I think the one before him was pretty good.

Central Mighigan's good QB LeFevour (still plays in the CFL) - was a pass first guy that occasionally ran. UC's good QB Tony Pike, was pass first that ran the ball when he had no other options, and that turned out great. Same systems at both schools. Same coaching trees. Collaros was a true dual threat QB at UC. Could really run well, but was injured much of the time and in his senior year only ran when he had to.

The system works for any of them. It works better with some mobility. Worley may have that, but who would know with Dools as his HC? The system he ran did not encourage pulling it down and running. We don't want a QB that is not pass first. You have to keep the D honest or else they will play 8 guys in the box all of the time.

Connor Shaw is an example of a run first guy. Spurrier stays on him all the time for running too soon on pass plays. Aaron Murray is a pass first guy that will run when he needs to. USCe runs a version of the same zone read spread while UGA runs a true pro set spread. It is the natural reaction of the QB that will be involved in Jones' selection of the starter.

He is also more of a throw it to Hunter for a sure TD and watch JH let it hit him in the facemask and drop it kind of guy.

Once... he also threw one TD pass against the Blue Raiders that Darick had to fight for and other than that 5 interceptions. Didnt think he'd ever start before the hire, definitely dont now.

I think Worley has a better chance in this system than some of you think. Backups come in the game cold... have to adjust to a tempo that everyone else in the game is already playing at. Not nearly enough experience with Worley go make a judgment at this point.

A new coach will (or should) give everyone a clean slate, but I hope the QB that makes the best decisions PASSING will beat out the most mobile one.

We've had some good running qbs....just not in recent years! Remember Heath Shuler, Alan Cockrell, Jimmy Streater, Condredge Holloway? We've had others. Those are the only ones that stand out.
