Not sure if anybody remembers, but I posted my story about putting on a UT shirt and walking around the new training facility a while back. Well, I was at it again this morning. But the visit was a lot better this time!
First, wanted to see what you guys thought of this photo...
Happy and sad is about all I can say about this photo. I took this outside the coaches offices upstairs.
Okay, first thing that I noticed when I walked in the indoor training facility was the atmosphere. It was upbeat believe it or not. Players were walking to and from the new weight room, which is freaking amazing, they all were smiling and seemed to have a little pep in their step.
When we walked in Chaney was doing his interview so we caught the last 3-4 minutes and he too was upbeat. Cracked a joke or two and talked about how all the coaches have been through similar circumstances so they knew what to expect.
After that we walked through the weight room and watched McKeefery work with some players. Dude is still as intense as ever, hope we keep him. We walked out the side door and went up stairs to the new offices.
The guy I was with was claiming to know Coach Graham personally. I believed him because I had no reason not to, but I was still skeptical. Well, he was not lying. When we went upstairs Graham, Pittman, Chaney and Condredge were all eating in the break room and I got to meet them all. It was truly an amazing feeling being in that room. Graham is still a monster!
Again, I was really took back by how upbeat they were. They were joking that Graham won coach of the day award. I don't have a whole lot to go off of, but from the energy I was getting it was obvious the players and staff have no quit. I for one can not wait till the game Saturday and I will be in attendance!
That was my second "cool story bro" moment. Here are a couple pictures I managed to snap of the offices being renovated...
