Has anyone done it? And was it effective?
It’s cut-down season for me and I’m bored with my diet, thinking this might change it up some. I’ve heard really good things, but I also don’t like gimmick diets.
Haven't done it, but I do focus on just good carbs. Intermittent fasting is the bomb. 15-16 hours overnight for me without intake and the body just keeps on burning. I only eat during an 8 hour window.
And you eat as much as you want during that window?

I’m just not sure I understand the science behind this. Why is your metabolism not stopping dead in its tracks after a few hours of hunger?
I’ve been intermittent fasting for a few months. I usually go 16/8 or 18/6 though I have some day that I will go 20/4.Haven't done it, but I do focus on just good carbs. I've been doing a relaxed version of IF for a while. I usually eat between 11-Noon and again around 7-8. Over the last few months my appetite has really gone down and my tastes are different. Things I would've "destroyed" in the past have very little to no interest to me now. Fried foods, for example. I still like fries but I air-fry them.
My biggest need is to cut back on drinking and being more active.
