I was at the game last night and was watching as jodie meeks lit ut up for 54 points. I started thinking, in all of ut's losses this year, someone on the opposing team has had a career day, as far as the number of points scored. in the temple, kansas and kentucky games, the players listed below had career scoring games. i listed the gonzaga players just to show how much their leading scorer had.

i could understand more if chism or brian williams were getting manhandled down low every game and that's where the points were coming from, but all these guys are making shots from the perimeter. and being a ymca all-star, i can appreciate the shooting exhibition meeks put on last night, it was the most impressive shooting display i have ever seen.

Gonzaga - Steven Gray - 19
Temple - Dionte Christmas - 35, Sergio Olmos - 19
Kansas - Sherron Collins - 26
Gonzaga - Matt Bouldin - 26
Kentucky - Jodie Meeks - 54

Fan sits with murderer while watching his team get the living crap beat out of them and you had a big day? Wow......call in sick tomorrow, stay home and pray you don't have another big day soon. You could end up on the front page.

until this team realizes that 3 pointers is not are game this year we are going to keep losing.I dont know how many times they drove the lane only to get stuck in the air with nothing to do with the ball (Drive the lane and go up hard)why do we have athletes that dont use their abilitys.Cameron Tatum and Hopson better get more physical if they expect to do anything in the SEC.Tyler Smith is probably the biggest let down so far....player of the year in the SEC is a reach. He cant Avg. 17.4 ppg and only like 6 rpg and expect that to be enough.Pearl needs to ask them if they could ever get 54 points in a game. Never happen and thats a real big problem. no play makers.

They have to WANT to play defense before they start winning consistantly. They need to take pride in stopping the other team not try to outscore them.

In all of Kentucky's storied history, no one had ever done that before. If you think Tennessee players should all be capable of putting 54 points up in a conference game, you need to get a grip.
