Carjacker killed by parents & mob

None of that would have happened if the stupid woman hadn’t left her three littles unattended in a running car while she went into the pizza joint to see her bf. I remember what a pain in the ass it is to get kids in and out of a car when you’re just going to be a minute but you can’t do that stupid crap.

I agree that it's not smart to leave your kids in the car, but disagree with the premise of your statement ...."none of that would have happened".

The carjacker is solely to blame here. Besides if no kids had been involved would he just have left the car alone?

Not absolving the carjacker in the least. He committed a crime and is totally responsible for it. Just because the opportunity is there and made easy, he's no less culpable.

I just get pissed at people who are that careless with their little ones. Even if the car hadn't been carjacked, the 5-year-old could have climbed behind the wheel to play and set off a tragic outcome. Or what if it wasn't a carjacker but a kidnapper? It's just always stupid and negligent to leave kids unattended in a running car on a city street.

I get your argument and I agree with your point, just as when rape victims get blamed because of how they were dressed or where they went at what time, etc. A criminal is always responsible for his actions. That wasn't intended to be my premise but I see how it could be read that way so I maybe I could have written it better.

Totally agree that many put their children in harm's way without thinking. I work at a children's hospital and see it daily. Its infuriating. Glad to see your response wasnt how I read it. Apologies for taking it the wrong way.

Just putting your kids in a car is putting them in harms way. But yes, people do stupid things daily with kids. Like pick them up from day care high as a kite. That pisses me off to no end

we never leave ours, even when the oldest, and now middle one are teenagers. I don't trust people.

lol if our youngest disappears for 20 seconds in the mall or something (which she’s very good at), my wife’s mind immediately has her on a boat with her hair cut off, drugged and on her way to Thailand.

If the carjacker had’ve gotten away and threw the children in a river who would the parents blame for their deaths?

The Mom made a mistake, We get it. Is it careless? Probably. Is it a crime? I don't think so.

As to anyone charged in this case, I would sit on that jury.
