Carson Palmer

likely not.

Unfortunately for him, Mike Brown has adamently stated "No," and this guy is said to be one of the more stubborn General Managers in the league (he's also the owner)

Feeling is the only way he can get out is by threatening that he'll retire if they refuse to deal him

I would like to know what his "plan" that Palmer is the center of is.

I can't blame him one bit for wanting to get out of that train wreck...The Dolphins could sure use him.

Brown wouldn't give up Johnson a few years back for 2 1st round picks from washington....i'm not sure what of value miami could offer that would make him change his mind here

I am pretty sure he is serious too. I heard this story in mind December, from one of his best buddies.

Brown's not going to trade him though

That is what he is saying now, and if he doesn't he'll retire. It doesn't make sense for Brown to say he wants to trade him, they won't be able to get as great a value for him if other teams know he is gonna be traded.

and if he's threatening to retire, then it's going to lower what's offered in return since they know that Brown is, again, in a position where he would have to trade him

Thing is, this is Mike Brown - he has a reputation as a GM/Owner as being one of the most (some might say the most) stubborn in this league. Once he puts down his foot, decides, and says no, he's shown that he's going to stick with it.

When Chad Johnson was adamently demanding a trade a few years back, the man turned down a deal for two 1st round picks (among others). After that, I don't see him giving in this time either.

Persistent failings, punctuated by calamitous events that engulf multiple seasons and ruin the careers of all who are unfortunate enough to land there.
