Tennessee Lady Vol freshman basketball player Andraya Carter underwent arthroscopic surgery Thursday morning to repair a labral tear in her right shoulder.
Hope she has a complete recovery. Done for this year, though.
Carter's recovery is expected to take four to six months. Tennessee will apply for a hardship waiver after the season for Carter. She is expected to meet the requirements (playing in less than 30 percent of the team's scheduled contests in the first half of the season) and would still have four years of eligibility remaining if the waiver is granted.
I loved the way she played defense. She is going to be a good one. Maybe not the talent of some of the defensive stoppers we have had in the past like Hornbuckle but she will get better and better.
Kamiko had better be ready to play some ball. She has always been a favorite of mine and can be as good as she decides to be.
