Well, good for him. No Casey bashing from me.

On a side note what kind of football name is "Phillipe Gardent" (French-born linebacker from the article)? Just doesn't sound as scary as BIG AL WILSON! Maybe they should stick to crepes and croissants. (Of course, there's a guy from Germany named "Klaus" that balances the equation)

I think it says alot that they picked him as one of the 'quarterbacks' to aid them in evaluating non-american talent. I think he'll be one of the highest players selected in the non-allocated players' draft. It didn't hurt to have all the head coaches of NFL-Europe teams watching either. 6-of-14 is not great, but he's also throwing to guys from Japan, Mexico, Germany, etc..... big difference from Donte Stallworth and Kelley Washington.

Casting an eye over the game-condition scrimmage were the five head coaches of the current NFL Europe League teams – Bart Andrus (Amsterdam), Rick Lantz (Berlin), Peter Vaas (Cologne), Mike Jones (Frankfurt) and Pete Kuharchek (Rhein). Also in attendance was Jack Bicknell, who was head coach of the Scottish Claymores in 2004.

Note that Jack Bicknell is the coach of the 'new' team Hamburg Sea Devils. They call it a new team, but basically the Scottish Claymores moved to Hamburg.... Just like the Barcelona Dragons moved to Cologne (Koln) last year and the England Monarchs moved to Berlin years ago.

They might want to change the name to NFL-Germany with 5 of the 6 teams being in Germany now. The lone team outside Germany is near the border, Amsterdam Admirals.
