Catchings Wins First WNBA Title

In her 11th pro season, former Lady Vols star Tamika Catchings finally captured her first WNBA Championship on Sunday night. Catchings scored 25 points, handed out eight assists and grabbed four rebounds to help lead the Indiana Fever to their first-ever WNBA title with an 87-78 victory over the Minnesota Lynx.

So proud for Tamika. She is a great person, and always VFL. She is one in a line of great ambassadors for our Lady Vols and the University of Tennessee.

She really didn't need the ring to prove she is one of the all-time greats, but it is fantastic for her to finally get it. She has been the heart and soul of her team for all those years.

Glad Pat could be there to share it with her.
