Great Game!
Mitchell's tailback Octavious Gibson (#28) is a dandy.
There was a Level 4 Brass Monkey Alert at MTSU Saturday afternoon. I feel sorry for the folks that were there for the later games. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Tyler Williamson had a monster game: threw for 2 TDs, ran for another and, on defense, snagged two INTs from his safety position. His second INT sealed the deal on Mitchell's last drive. Dorian Cozart is really emerging as an excellent RB. The Bonifini kid who broke his ankle in the 1st quarter made it back from the hospital mid-third quarter and was on the sideline through the end of the game.
I know that somewhere upstairs tonight there's a heckuva party, probably hosted by Irish defensive stalwart Wes Resse's mom who died of cancer his freshman year.
Two great moments:
Zach Vann who blew a knee on the first posession of the first game this year, was in his tailback position for the two final "victory formation" snaps.
and
Former Catholic standout Steve Adkins was in attendance surrounded by his old teamates as he recovers from serious ailment.
"Spirit of the Green and Gold
Guiding us through happy days
E'er victorious as of old
Help us over lifes' rough ways
(chorus)
K.C.H.S. we honor thee
Thy mandates we obey
Proudly stands in Tennessee
Green and Gold for Aye!"
