Apparently they are pimping some quote from a UNC Ashville player (Cunningham, Center). When asked, who's better, UK or UT? The player answered "definitely UK, but UT is still a top 10 team..."

Those loons are actually treating this as fact. Making replies like, "that's good, he would know, he's played both teams...."

HELLO PEOPLE.... SCOREBOARD! We beat them by 75 or so. I wonder if that had anything to do with this guys answer? Only kitty fans would actually try to make the argument that UK is better than UT based on a like game where UT held the same team to less points and scored around 30 more points than UK did against the like team. Classic....

My answer is wait and let the season play out and may the best team win. Definitely 2 meetings and wouldnt be surprised at conference tourney if there isnt a 3rd meeting.

They get UNC and UConn and Louisville.

We get Memphis and Kansas.

Then we get to play each other twice and play two other SEC east teams that are ranked and 1-2 ranked SEC West teams.

Should be a very fun season and a memorable one for Vol fans.

Well lets see the facts........

vs UNC Ashville

We scored 124..... Uk scored 94

We forced 29 to's .....uk forced 19

We had 13 steals......uk had 12

vs us UNCA shot 23.9 %....shot 40.7 vs Uk

Vs us 6.2 % 3pt .....40% vs the big blue

oh.....Vs UNCA our starters played a total of 100 minutes

VS UNCA UK's starting 5 played 129 minutes.

This guy is obviously the inside force for the 0-7 powerhouse.

Here's his stats from the 2 games

Against UK:
Started--played 19 minutes and fouled out
4 points on 2 of 4 shooting, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 turnover

Against UT:
Didn't start--played 20 minutes, 1 foul
4 points on 0 for 4 shooting (4 out of 4 from the free throw line), 3 rebounds, no blocks, 2 turnovers

Shouldn't the beef be with the UNC Asheville kid if you disagree? I mean, I'm sure if the kid had said, "Oh yea, UT's clearly the better team." that would we be saying the same crap as the UK fans are apparently saying.

Who cares? It's UNCA - a 70-point victory is hardly more impressive or telling than a 25-point victory over them. It's all circumstantial and influenced heavily by styles and match ups.

UK is a better team than us until we go out and beat them - and I'm not too confident in our chances of doing that - I'll be happy if we split the series.

Kentucky folks are sad. They can't beat us in football and now basketball is a toss up. It must suck to be them.
