Anyone know what the Cattleman called in and said to Clay Travis and 104.5 in Nashville about Erik Ainge and TSR that caused him to get banned again?

it was 5 minutes of "clay Travis is great, Erik Ainge sucks. 3HL is awesome, TSR not so awesome. Nashville is a major media market (I laughed at that), Knoxville wishes it was nashville, etc."

Cattleman pulls that same crap with every show in town. Calls Tony, dogs Doc and Jeff. Calls the Saturday Show on 1180, dogs Tony.

Bans are weapons of the weak, and are for the feeble minded. Period.

If that's the qualification, then Small Mike is definitely worthy of the distinction.

There is no need to ban Jim Copeland (aka SM, Cattleman) from a show. Just do what Hyams did. Expose him as the idiot that he is by tearing his weak arguments apart. Then Jim will claim he was banned from your show so he won't look bad for being scared to call back.

I agree. Other than unacceptable language, I can't see why you would ban anyone. I disagree with Cattleman 50% of the time. His Pat Summit attacks are over the top given her medical situation, but the guy is entertaining as heck.

I take issue with the idea of shutting people up for being offensive (generally or personally). I think our unwillingness to disagree is turning us into a nation of pussies.

I rarely listen to Doc Jeff and Heather, but I did hear when he called them and Jeff mentioned things he had said about Heather. Cattleman just went into his turtle shell and acted like he hadn't said a thing about her. Pretty funny.

And I think that our haste to disagree without thinking is turning us into a nation of reactionary idiots. But that is neither here nor there. If they dont want him on their privately run station then that is their choice. If the guy is that entertaining and popular, then I guess his talents will find their way back on the airwaves.

Strawmen arguments, trolling, and personal attacks are all weapons of the weak. The only reason I block or remove anyone anywhere in my life is for these reasons. It takes a much bigger person to walk away from an oil fire like those things usually cause.

Worth a bump and a like. In this day of anonymous posting it's the chickenshat's of the world that wish to disrupt the straight thinkers. Kind of like terrorist's. They know their argument is lame and weak, but they persist in disruption until A) they become cannon fodder, or B) they get called out by the majority. I prefer option A.

Well we have examples here every day. I had a person a few weeks ago on here who didn't like me saying it wasn't right to say Tyler bray had bad parents because he wasn't drafted, so his immediate response was to say I never had parents worth anything and simply wanted his.

I told him very simply that he was a troll and "an internet tough guy" and that had he said that to me in person I would have punched him in the face for it (as would several people, but that since this is the internet and he was looking for a reaction, I will give him the one thing he couldn't stand. No more attention. and blocked him. I've not even gone back to that thread since.

there's a time in this day and age to step away. When someone does something like that, there is nothing wrong with responding and getting the last word in before ending it yourself. That's what the technology is for really.
