I like the way CBJ is keeping UT in the media as much as possible while juggling all the other responsibilities going into signing day. He seems to be a work-a-holic.

This guy is working! Hope some of this work ethic and relentless approach rubs off on the team. If he works this hard at player development and game prep we will be in a good situation this time next year

Hey part of being a head football coach is selling your product. He has to down play the rotten brand image that Dooley has given our program...from poor relationships with high school programs....upsetting all the ex-VFL's with his stupid policies....not having a clue how to put a winning product on the field....and ruining the image of orange pants being worn in America.

CBJ has to put in some madman hours to sell himself and what his style of football is all about. Got to get out there and make people talk about his brand of what Tennessee football will be all about....not what it has been for the last 5 years.

He talked about how excited he was to be able to bring his assistants to Knoxville. Talked about their loyalty. Also said UT is a top five football program and mentioned the former Vols that gathered at the new sports complex. The clip is only 49 seconds and that is all I heard. I am sure there was more to the interview.

That was short but very sweet.

I think his passion for everything Tennessee comes through well and from his heart.

Him saying Tennessee is a top 5 program in the country shows he really knows our history and traditions pretty well in such a short time and I think top 5 ranking consistently is his 1st goal but it's going to take a few years.

I hate totally rebuilding again but that's the reality of the situation.

He's going to have to recruit his type of players for his systems on both sides of the ball but I believe that in 4 years when he has mostly his types of players we're going to be very happy where he's led our program and will see that getting to the top from there will be his only goal.

VFL...GBO!!!

You can say what you want to say about CBJ...but he's got some passion for UT we've been soley missing for a long time. between twitter, making appearances on Gameday, radio spots, the open door policy for former VOLS, the recruiting trail...has he even had time for his family?

Hey, thanks! Sorry for ignoring the rest of you who asked me to follow up. I was pulling into the parking garage at work when I posted the thread, and it's been nonstop ever since. I was hoping someone would listen in and recap as well, and they did. Sweet!

Geeeez the guy is in a recruiting dead period and taking advantage of it. Which is great but dont get in over your heads by thinking he's doing something thats "out of the box." This is what cracks me up about people on here. They compare what he's doing to Dooley when Dooley came in a couple weeks prior to recruiting day and needed to put a staff together. Some of y'all need to simmer it down and take day by day. Yalls all out optimism with every little good thing is going to come back and bite you if it doesn't go exactly the way you fantasized about. Its the story of this season from the people thinking we were going to win the NC with this yrs team to the stupid Grudenites.

Day by day y'all...
