I will not deny that I was against this hire. He was not my first choice. But he is here and I will now support him.

The upside though is he is not a douche like Dooley was. I don't see shower comments coming from him.

I am also hearing things about him that could swing my view of him very quickly.

It is rumored that he kept his captains updated with his hiring process. Pretty nice.

It is rumored he was given an applause when he told his players he took the job. That means they liked him alot, ride or die. This is very, very important.

It is also rumored that he is going to see Von Bell tonight... if this is true we have a guy who is itching to get in there.

It is also looking like he may pull Woodard...this is HUGE.

Lastly, in his presser he said "saban and miles never had prior SEC experience and that's all I'm going to say there." That is a man ready to fight. A man who believes he is on their level and can beat them. I was impressed.

We are about to learn alot about this guy, more than I ever thought I would 3 days ago, but if he does visit Bell and he does pull Woodard we are off to a good start.

Sometimes it's good to rearrange the furniture. I won't be convinced that we got better than what we had until I see what happens on national signing day and on the field next season but at least I'm not looking at the same depressing set-up. There are positive aspects of this hire for everyone to latch onto but the folks who want to go balls deep before they give it the eye test need to settle down and quit bashing those of us that are taking the wait and see attitude after having just been burned on the last hire.
