@ByBerkowitz: @jacollake Jones would owe UT $4M if in first year, $3M if in next two, $2M if after that.

And if we cancel the contract it would be 2mil for each year left/ -his earnings in that time.

Not even a week, a staff put together, first practice, first recruit or first game. Lets worry about this maybe after the first year or two.

After Kiffin bolted without penalty was curious if this AD would be smart enough to include a penalty. Overall MOU much more robust then the ones I saw under Hamilton.

I don't see butch jones ever bolting. The reason Kiffin was able to bolt was because he was a great salesman and talked his way to jobs. He was a west coast guy anyway and USC was his dream job. With butch jones hopefully he will be successful and even if he is I doubt he would leave a school like Tennessee when times are going well

Jones will be at UT for at least 3 years.

I agree. I don't see him moving along at the same rate he has in the past.

If he enjoys the kind of success that would make him attractive to a another big school, UT should have the money to match anyone in the nation.

The only reason I could think of that he would fly is if there really is a true "dream job" out there for him that no one knows about. Both of the Michigan coaches are doing pretty well and aren't that old. (mid 50s)

Or, if he wins a lot here, he might want to take a shot at the NFL. Although, I'm not sure his philosophies and attitudes translate to the pros too well.

If he doesn't win, no one else it going to want him.
