..he's a solid triple.

He's a proven winner, up and coming HC who knows what he's about.

I think we have done good here. CBJ is going to do great things for UT.

I support him, and wish him the best as our new HFC.

GBO!!!!!!!

Guys, this Dooley hire is a solid hire. Let's face it. He has coaching in his pedigree from his dad. He lived in that environment everyday of his youth.
Also, he turned La. Tech in to a winner a took them to a bowl game victory. That was a first for La. Tech in many years.
Also, he was Saban's recruiting co ordinator at LSU when they beat Oklahoma for the NCAA Championship. We need a good recruited and he can recruit. Look at the team he helped build at LSU. Also, Saban obviously believes in him.

Saban took him to be the tight Ends coach with the Dolphins. So, he has pro coaching experience and the players at Miami really respect him.

I think we did a great thing in hiring him.....

One thing that should have stood out about DD, Saban NEVER made him a coordinator. That honestly should have been a red flag. Jones may be just as big of a fail as Dooley, but Jones got here himself, not with saban or his daddy's name. There are a lot of folks in the know calling this a great hire for UT, as of now, gotta ride with it.

How can you say it's not a home run hire? The guy hasn't had a chance to prove anything here yet. Good that you are trying to be optimistic, but it's too early to judge how good he is. If he wins us a NC in a few years, I guarantee he'll be seen as a home run hire.

Listen bro, I like your story at Notre Dame as much as anyone - very inspirational. But there's one glaring difference between Dooley and Jones. As a ND graduate you should be able to figure out what that difference is.
