CBJ non commitment to any QB

Um, what?

Jones benched 1 QB once. I don't understand that statement.

Then to say he shouldn't have played Worley hurt. Do you not recall JW playing BETTER after he injured his thumb against SCjr?

This post would mmake more sense in a close game. They would've been beat with Manziel as another poster stated.

Wasn't football. But when you make comments that supposes I'm just some poster that still lives with my mom etc and doesn't understand anything about what goes on at that level.. it is very childish akin to name calling. What are you in the 3RD grade. Next thing yor going to tell me your dad can beat up my dad. Dude, grow up. Unnecessary. . And you began this by hurling unnecessary insults. Not sure why you had to go there to try to insult another fellow fan just because you did not agree with my opinion. Just disagree gracefully. I'm just dishing back what you started.

If you look at any of my post I don't engage in such behavior. This was first time based on your initial insult.

The very purpose of sites like this is for fans to Monday morning quarterback, complain, dialogue.

And for other people to make comments about what other people post. If my online comments on a message board hurt you at a personal level, I do apologize. And again, thanks for giving my mom a good one she needed it.

"Don't insult people on here...

... BTW I did your mom."

Yeah, that makes sense.

Dude my point was tongue in cheek to show the ridiculousness of insulting a fellow fan. About as stupid as "yo momma" jokes. But I guess if someone cant win a discussion based on facts what I have noticed on here is to reply :

1. When have you ever played a down of football?
2. your post is stupid
3. Name calling.
4. You still live with your momma. It was a bit of a joke back at him "and I did your momma" its a joke.

99.5% of us have not played D1 foottball, not coached football, but we all are UT fans and should not have to have people ridicule for posting our opinions. Based on response it seems the thread I started created some good dialogue which is its original intent. I expect others to not agree.

Read the rules of the board. Comment on the content of others post and no need to make comments that others are living in their mother's basement. One shows intelligence the other shows immaturity. You obviously don't get that.

why would they care if he only takes off once a game. You give him that one time that he might and send all your lb's at the rb. Akin to giving a bad shooter an open 3.

Don't know. I just don't see how it makes sense any other way. If he really missed that many open runs then that would have been reason enough for Jones to bench him if they were telling him to run. I have watched some of the games another time or two. There are plays where there is just flat out no one there to tackle Worley. He could have run for 20 yards before anyone reacted.

Coaches want to win. The one they think best (not us) will start. All you folks can look at is stats and make an opinion. At this time Trust your coaches.

Then why did he mention focusing on running from the qb position prior to the Florida game? Butch isnt a coach that is going to tell his qb to not take 20 yards if he can get it on the read.

I really think he needs to decide on who the starter is going to be the rest of the season. All the best teams don't play quarterback by committee. I like the fact that Jones doesn't want the opposing team knowing who is going to play but deciding on a more permanent starter and letting that guy play with the first team in practice is essential in building confidence and continuity.

But you are ignoring the main point... he isn't a coach who tolerates that... yet he did... for a very long time.

They said a lot of things publicly that to me taken together amount to nothing but misinformation hoping to get DC's to believe he would run. They even gave Worley a talking point... "I have keys I read".

This has been one thing I been thinking about during this whole QB controversy about CBJ decisions. We have seen 3 of them play and Dobbs is number 3? I no we're not there at practice but I'm not talking about practice. The eye test during the game and the offense we run who looks the part? It looks like Dobbs to me. A reminder we are currently 114 in passing offense so what are we afraid off with change?

There could be other possibilities here :
- maybe the freshmen QBs look bad in practice ?
- maybe the have not mastered enough plays to handle a whole game
- maybe they have ball protection issues
- maybe Worley is tight with several of our recruits

my point is that there could be a bunch of reasons that the staff has for staying with Worley ...that they are not sharing with us .
