CBJ tonight in Nashville

I thought Franklin said he owned Nashville. Btw, does Vandy use FRA's facilities? They look a tad small compared to other SEC schools.

The mobile homes are shining their 3rd glass football in 4 years and we're celebrating our coaches invading Candy's lunch table. Yeh baby!

Tonight in Nashville had absolutely nothing to do with Vanderbilt. CBJ will do this is in several different cities so former Vols don't have to travel to far to attend.

I know, I was just playing. And smart @zz jokes aside (from me), I'm thankful he's making the effort.

Well actually I just realized it was in Nashville because there is a coaches convention there this week.

I live near Nashville and I have to hear about Vandy all the time. If you have seen the idiotic billboards and commercials, then you would understand. Their WR, Jordan Marhews, just said he's coming back to win a SEC Championship for goodness sake. To me that is an absurd statement but I have to hear about it from my Vandy fan of a boss, who btw helps on Vandys sideline and is usually up Franklin's butt on tv, thar he fully expects to compete for the SEC Championship. This is frustrating to me, as Vandy hasn't beaten anyone with a winning record in the SEC since Franklins been there. Lastly, I did not make the statement that we were in Franklin's backyard to say that we are competing with Franklin. I made it because it has to annoy the heck out him that Tennessee is such a presence in Nahville and that he will never own Nashville. That's why I love the Wharton pick up. Because, it shows Franklin that he hasn't changed much about instate recruiting.

PS, I wonder if Vandys former coach, Bobby Johnson, is ticked that when Franklin comes along they start accepting exemptions into Vandy. So he had to recruit smart kids, while Franklin is allowed to recruit whomever.

I guess we can't talk too much. We beat a couple of big east teams and we're ready to compete for conference titles too. Of course, only to be smacked back to reality before the middle of September. We haven't won anything of consequence in so long, we don't know what a good win is vs a sh*t win. Just like Vandy and Kentucky; it's the whole loser mentality and we clearly have it soaked up and putting it to use.

I get what you are saying but Vandy is closer to an SEC title than the Vols.

That's the cold, harsh reality of things.

Can you really be closer if its not possible? Tennessee has more talent than Vanderbilt, so on a talent level they are not. Vandy has had better leadership and the coach has had more upper level support from his university in letting in exemptions. Bobbie Johnson could not recruit the players that Franklin does because they chancellor would not ok it.

Sorry folks.Vandy has peaked. They will not do any better than what they are doing.Book it.And with a average defense this year tennessee would have been as good.Even a realistic thinking football fan knows that.
