President Obama and Congress are flirting with both a recession and a bigger jump in unemployment next year unless they head off looming tax increases and spending cuts — but doing so could mean a fifth straight year of trillion-dollar deficits, the government’s chief scorekeeper said Wednesday.

I think we will be past the “recession” stage if we keep going like we have been.

Calling this a “recession” will be like calling Katrina a thunderstorm.

I can't fathom how any reasonable person could vote for Obama

I would add to that, I can't fathom how any reasonable person could vote for their members of Congrees.

It appears the majority put as much blame on Congress as they do Obama.

The House has shown no intentions to resolve the tax situation until after the election.

I have zero intentions to vote for Obama, with that said this Congress and the previous one has been terrible, may be the worse in history.

It appears there is pure hatred in our two political parties and gets worse every year. This "my way or the highway" approach by boths sides needs to end. Until they can sit down and do some seroius negotiating to solve some of these problems things will continue to get worse.

Congress is absolutely the problem and it's no longer just the ideological divide between those for business and those for stealing from businessmen. The divide is now about where you buy your votes.

I would call it a quadruple dip recession. At what point is it considered a bonafide depression?
