Being that I live in the armpit of the ACC (North Carolina), my local CBS affiliate thought it better to switch coverage from Tennessee-Kentucky to UNC-Wake. They switched just as Cousins slammed it to tie the game at 65. The greatest 2 minutes of the season, thus far, were taken from me. One minute I'm jumping up and down praying our defense would hold. The next thing I know, I'm watching Carolina blue push it up the floor. Absolutely livid I was. Just caught the highlights on Sportscenter. CBS = EPIC FAIL! Go Vols!

Happens to me with the NFL. I feel your pain.

Instead of getting to watch my Cowboys, I am instead submitted to watching the Seahawks every week, unless one of them is the Sunday/Monday night game.

That does suck. I have to admit though, despite living in Spokane, WA, I do see the Vols a lot. A buddy I work with is a Georgia fan. In 2007, when Tennessee and Kentucky had their 52-50 overtime game in football, I saw the whole thing up here. He was back home in Georgia with his family watching the game, toward the end of regulation they switched to the Florida game which just started. He was livid and was calling me for updates.
No, I understand certain contracts and stuff, but there has to be common sense. When you have the #2 team on the line and then your unranked team just starts, you have to let the good game end. That really is frustrating.

Yea, I live in Greensboro and the same thing happened. Two top twenty five teams tied with two minutes left and they switch to two teams that are not ranked. Sure would like to know who to contact on that one!

For those of us living in the Carolinas we need to all write letters or e-mails to the local affiliate. I thought my head was gonna explode when they cut away. If not for radio on the internet I would have missed it entirely.

I too am in Greensboro, and I was going nuts!!!!! Even if it weren't TN, two teams in the top 20 tied with 2:00 to go, and you break away for a .500 unc vs. an unranked Wake team. Even my UNC friends were Iivid...CBS....gets this weeks: COME ON, MAN!!!!

Happened to me too. I was livid! I mean it's one thing to cut away to the start of another game if it isn't competitive but a top 25 matchup that is TIED with under 2 minutes left???!!! I couldn't believe it... but then I just ran and grabbed my laptop and watched it on channelsurfing. Thank god for that.

Same thing happened to me. I was pissed, and if it wouldn't have been for UT beating Kentucky it would have nbeen a lot worse. I still wrote and email complaining to Time Warner Cable here in Charlotte. It does give me reaosn to watching it again tho.

That's crazy!!! You'd think if anything they would have switched various coverages to SHOW the end of the game to areas that hadn't had the first 38 minutes. Crappy Broadcast Service.
